Meet the Creator of The Freedom Tree
Welcome to The Freedom Tree, a unifying symbol for everyone who values freedom. My name is Steven, and this project reflects my journey as a U.S. Army veteran, storyteller, and advocate for preserving the values that freedom-loving people across the nation and across the world hold dear.
During my service as a counterintelligence agent in the U.S. Army, I experienced firsthand the power of unity in the face of adversity. At one of our forward operating bases in Afghanistan, there was a tree where soldiers gathered before embarking on missions, a place where we would pray, give inspiring speeches, and unite as one team. That tree became a powerful reminder to me of our shared purpose, resilience, and the strength we drew from one another.

After my military service, I began serving as a pastor and then later as a radio host and media member. Through these roles, I’ve dedicated myself to fostering conversations about faith, freedom, and what it means to stand together as a community. Inspired by my experiences, I envisioned The Freedom Tree as a way to honor the unity and spirit I witnessed in those pivotal moments of my life.
The Freedom Tree
The Freedom Tree is a 15-foot-tall representation of the American spirit, adorned with red, white, and blue leaves. The colors of our nation have become an inspiration not just for Americans, but for people around the world. We are a beacon of hope for those who are willing to sacrifice everything to be free.

When you purchase a leaf on the tree, you’re doing three things. First, you’re standing with others who publicly support biblical and traditional values. Second, you’re helping veteran-focused organizations working towards improving the lives of those who volunteered to serve our nation. Third, the money raised from these leaves is used to create freedom-focused content. One example of this is the documentary: “What Does Freedom Cost? Stories from Ukraine’s Fight for Survival” a film focused on the impact of the war on the people of Ukraine.
